About BWI

Broadlink Wireless was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing broadband internet technology to Moore County, North Carolina. Years ago, dial-up was the main technology for internet access. Over the last 5 years, wireless technology has become the most effective method for distributing high speed internet to both residential and commercial subscribers. Although there are other competing technologies such as cable and DSL, wireless technology remains more cost efficient and reliable. Access to cable and DSL is limited to rural areas because of the expense of laying copper or fiber optic cable over large distances.

Ten years ago, Broadlink (previously DSSLink) provided dial-up service to Moore and its surrounding counties. With advancements in wireless technology, Broadlink discovered a needed resource for south central North Carolina. With speeds 100 times faster than dial-up, twice as fast than DSL and satellite, and equally as fast as cable, Broadlink is determined to establish high speed broadband technology to Moore County that gives the region an economic competitive edge.

Now residents of rural North Carolina have access to high speed internet and VOIP through wireless technology at a fraction of the cost of the competition. Wireless technology will continue to grow in speed and function and will always remain a needed resource.

As CEO of Broadlink Wireless, I want to thank you for your business. You are integral to Broadlink’s success. You sustain a new technology for south central North Carolina that benefits you, your neighbors, and your city. We will always strive to provide you the fastest, most reliable broadband service available. With your support, we will continue to enhance the speed and capabilities of your service.

Sincerely,

Tim Roberts – President & CEO
